Started reading “Talk Like TED – The 9 Public-Speaking Secrets of the World’s Top Minds” by Carmine Gallo.
The first secret is to have passion. On page 18, Gallo says:
The popular TED speakers share something in common with the most engaging engaging communicators in any field – a passion, an obsession they must share with others.
The most popular speakers don’t have a job. They have a passion, an obsession, a vocation, but not a job.
Carmine offers another way to ask “What are you passionate about”. Ask “What makes your heart sing?”
He says:
A passion is something that is intensely meaningful and core to your identity.
A passion will impact your daily activities and profession – and, of course, your TED Talk!
